This month we are looking at the work of:
M.C. Escher

To prepare your student for class, please spend some time studying "Belvedere"(1958). For the best opportunity to truly appreciate this work, place it in a location that you will see often.

This month we will be making tags for boxes of pencils that we will be sending to a needy school in Africa. If you would like to bring in your own box of NEW pencils to donate to the cause, please do so.
You will need the following materials for class:
- Soft graphite pencil (2B or 4B) - 1 per student
- Tru Ray Acid Free Construction Paper
- 1 piece black (or another dark color) - 12”x18” 1 per student
- 1 piece white cut to 11"x17" 1 per student
- Scotch 3M clear glue stick - can be shared
- A non-marking eraser or Kneaded eraser - can be shared
- Small package of baby wipes - can be shared
One last note: Please have your student take a look at their art from last month. I will have their printed cards ready to distribute at the beginning of class, but there are no names on the works so they will need to be able identify their own project.
See you on Friday, February 15th at 6:30!
