FAQ

When are classes?
We meet from 6:30 - 8:00PM on the 3rd Friday of every month from September through May.  You can see our full calendar here.

How do I get to SKETCH
We are located at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 292 Route 101, Bedford. Click Here for directions.

How do I register?
We try to keep registration process as simple as possible.  Click here for details.

What is the cost of joining SKETCH?
The cost for the 2014/2015 session $35 per family (not per student) for the entire session.  There are no individual class fees, but please be aware that this does not cover the materials which your family will need to have on hand for each project.  This one time fee is non-refundable.

What age student is appropriate for the class?
SKETCH is a family friendly program and all ages are welcome - The art history lesson is presented at a level that is appropriate for upper elementary students, although we have found that the content is generally new to most of the older students (including many parents).  Art project instruction is presented in multiple levels.  The project overview is delivered to the entire class at a level that elementary children can comprehend.  The instructor then walks through the class offering additional instruction to older and more skilled students.  Click Here to learn a bit more about why the program is run this way.

Can I stay with my child?
Yes, SKETCH is not a drop-off program.  Parents are expected to stay with their child and are encouraged to create their own projects right alongside them.  The best way to encourage artistic expression is to model it yourself.

What if my child misses a lesson?
Students will get the most out of SKETCH if they attend all classes, however each lesson is self-contained, so missing 1 is not a problem.  Any child that misses 2 classes without notifying the instructor will be automatically dropped from the class roster.  Space is very limited and we always have a waiting list.  This policy will help us to make sure that we can make the course available to as many students as possible.
Please, if you know that you will miss class, send me an e-mail.  I would hate to have your child loose their spot.

How will I know if class is canceled?
An e-mail will be sent out to all parents should classes need to be canceled due to winter storms or other unforeseen events.
